Dear Parishioners, I am happy to report that we had a successful Bazaar. Our last parish bazaar was in 2019. Unfortunately, Covid put an end to many parish activities. But last weekend we brought back vendors, games, activities, raffles, and of course food. You may have seen a rough looking volunteer taking food orders who was very bad at math on Friday night. That was me, and I learned that night that I need to head across the street and start attending elementary level math again (in addition to Canon Law studies!). Click the title to read more.
Dear Parishioners, Last weekend Hamas terrorists attacked civilians and soldiers in Israel. Footage released by the terrorists shows the barbarism of their actions. It shows civilians and soldiers killed indiscriminately. At a music festival around 260 civilians were gunned down; many as they fled into the desert. It shows the bodies of the dead mutilated and put on grotesque displays. It shows the elderly, women, and children taken as hostages to be used as human shields. Hamas is known for locating their terror cells in hospitals and schools; using their own civilians as shields. These are heinous acts and should be called such. Click the title to read more.
Dear Parishioners, Work continues on the church exterior painting and restoration project. Part of the project involves removing old caulking around the window frames and replacing it with a newer and more durable material. I am told by the contractor that this new material should last decades. Meanwhile, the new sacristy windows are on their way and should arrive for installation the week of October 16th; just in time for the colder weather. The current frosted windows in the sacristy and work sacristy are the single pane original windows. They have certainly lasted a long time. Yet, given that they are only single pane panels, they let in the elements. Furthermore, the metal framing on the inside has begun to rust and expand. Click the title to read more.
Dear Parishioners, I am happy to announce that we are having a Fall Bazaar. On Friday October 20th from 5pm to 9pm and on Saturday, October 21st from 8:00AM to 6:00PM we will host our first bazaar in many years. There will be raffles, numerous vendors, crafts, pumpkin decorating, baked goods, food and much more. In addition to outside vendors, we have several parishioners donating their efforts to the bazaar. Lowes and Home Depot generously donated the pumpkins for decorating. I want to thank Nicole and Al Hervieux for their work organizing and planning the event. Nicole, along with many other volunteers have done an excellent job preparing for this event. If you would like to help, we are looking for more items for the Penny Social. We are looking for items or baskets of a value of $25.00 to raffle off at the bazaar. Thank you for your consideration.
