The lift is back! As the painting project continues, you will notice a lift in the parking lot. This is needed to reach the higher areas of the church and rectory such as the two crosses on the church and the tops of the columns. I am happy to say that work is going well.
As I mentioned at the end of Mass RCIA and Confirmation preparation classes are beginning for adults this October. As followers of Christ we have a duty (and hopefully a burning desire) to bring friends, family members, coworkers, everyone to Christ. You can do just that by encouraging those who are not Catholic or those Catholics who have not been fully initiated by Confirmation to give these programs a try. I will be leading the classes along with my team consisting of: Mr. Michael Geiser and Mrs. Sarah Hickey.
With the presidential election around the corner, we have several events to help us prepare and participate in the election process. As you can see elsewhere in the bulletin, there will be a lecture series on Catholic Social Teaching Thursdays in the hall. Michael and I will be leading this series. Additionally, we will have October devotions in the church Monday nights at 6:00pm. Finally, On October 28th after devotions at 7:00pm Fr. Ryan Connors rector of Our Lady of Providence Seminary will present on the topic: “Rend Unto Caesar: Catholics and Politics in 2024.”
